Check out our first real look at next year's "Thor" from Marvel studios. This extended five minute preview leaked online today fresh from its unviel at Comic-Con. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Marvel pulls it down, so make sure you take a look. The Rise of the Apes: Everything You Need to Know

Planet of the Apes first hit the silver screen in 1968. That was back before the technology of CGI, computer animated features, and high definition. Through the 70's, 4 films were added to the 'Planet of the Apes' story. Charleton Heston became an icon for the human existence in motion pictures. The films slowly became less and less interesting, and declining in popularity. So the dynasty became untouched for 25 years.

Tron Legacy- Stills

I may be the only one, but I am not the elast bit excited about the Tron: Legacy film. For some reason it looks to be extremely cheesy and over-the top. I really hope that it proves me wrong though.

Watson Drops News of Sherlock Homes Sequel

Guy Ritchie has been in the development stages of the Sherlock Holmes sequel for a few months now. Ritchie initially wanted to start shooting this coming winter. But according to Jude Law (Watson), things may be ahead of schedule.

Jude Law told Empire that "It looks likely that we're going to shoot the second Sherlock Holmes in October,"

What's left to wonder, is who is going to be cast as London's next high tempered villain? "I don't know yet where the story will go,” Law had said “but there are a lot of Sherlock Holmes novels to choose from.”

Out of all of the Sherlock Holmes novels, what villain would you like to see reprised?

Sony is Not Dishing Out Toby Dollars for Garfield to be Peter Parker

Late last week, Sony announced that Andrew Garfield will suit up as Spider-Man in the 4th installment re-boot. It was not until today, did they release how much his income would be for the film. Andrew will only make $500,000 for Spider-Man 4.

Andrew Garfield did agree with an option for $1 million if they make a sequel and $2 million if a 3rd film makes its way into development.

Toby Maguire made $4 million for his first film as Peter Parker. He also made an estimated $17.5 million for Spider-Man 2 and $15 million for Spider-Man 3.

The Social Network- Teaser Trailer

We all should have known a movie made about the largest social netowrking website would come sooner or later. The Social Network is the story of the founders of Facebook and their struggle in making Facebook the exponential power it it today.

To top it all off, my favorite director is in charge, David Fincher. David Fincher has directed Se7en, The Game, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons. As you can see, Mr. Fincher is no amateur.

Here is the teaser trailer for The Social Network. This is definitely a projet to keep your tabs on. I'll have all updates on @TinCanCinema as well.

Andrew Garfield to Suit Up as Spidey.

Spider-Man (2002) was one for the record books when it broke box office records. Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 2(2007) came out with impressive numbers at the box office as well. After the third installment, the Toby Maguire and Sam Raimi team seemed unstoppable. Well, until the first of the year when things got crazy.

January of this year things had hit their peak with Raimi. Sony Pictures could not come to any type of agreement with production and script issues and the 2012 release date. So Sony announces that they are scrapping the Spider-Man 4 project with Sam Raimi and plan to reboot the entire franchise with a brand new director and nearly entirely new cast. (This just happened to come at the time when they almost had John Malcovich on board to play Vulture! Blast!)

All the big hitters then come out to play. James Cameron, David Fincher, Marc Webb and Wes Anderson all were in talks to pursue the Spider-Man 4 film. Somehow Marc Webb pulled it out of his ass to nail the job. Webb also directed 500 Days of Summer and a random episode of The Office.

Sony had decided that they were going to adapt the 4th installment to focus on Peter Parker as a teenager and battling being a hero (wasn't that what the first one was?). They put Alvin Stargent to work on re-writing the script to focus on someone young. Several actors were in the pool to play Peter Parker including Jamie Bell ("Jumper"), Alden Ehrenreich ("Somewhere"), Frank Dillane ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"), Josh Hutcherson ("Cirque du Freak") and Andrew Garfield ("The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus").



Andrew Garfield will be Peter Parker. If you do not know Andrew Garfield, I suggest you get to know him. Andrew played opposite of Johnny Depp, Colin Farrel, and Heath Ledger in the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. He also killed it in Spike Jonze's I'm here.
